This brief and very enriching story began, for me, barely a year ago. Since I was working in Human Resources area, I was introduced to the Systemic Vision proposal (VISI). Although my first contact was through business constellations (which I found to be a very powerful tool for a different approach at organizations’ inner working) that, barely, was a small sample of how much they would learn from their founders.

Katia del Rivero, Director at VISI, raised me the possibility of been my first client in this independent stage and my eyes sparkled. I suppose something inside me knew that it was the beginning of an adventure that would literally change my life. Soon I met Michael Blumenstein, also Director and Founder of VISI, and also Katia’s life partner. Both seemed charming to me and thus began a collaborative relationship that become, step by step, into an endearing friendship.

Katia and Michael distinguished me, allowing me to be part on their Master VISI Coach, and this year I had the privilege of joining the training group, whose photo frames the beginning of this post.

Class by class I discovered the wisdom of Michael in deep. I have a pair of notebooks full of notes with his phrases, scattered in the air with naturalness as one who simply breathes knowledge and shares it generously.

In the photo shared, classes just begun. There was the very first session. Michael took off his shoes and so … with that simplicity that characterized him, dictated a true professorship on the brain’s functioning. He once told us that it was impossible to communicate with us, and I sprang up from my chair … I’m supposed to work on communication issues and help my clients communicate with the world! The Master had challenged me.

And so he did many more times. Saying that the future is uncertain and that we can only trust that we are enough … whether we like it or not.

At some other meeting he started by asking “What is life?” And the truth is that this man did not need to be in the classroom to shake us … he often did it in front of his steaming green tea cup, while he looked serene through his glasses and laughed at me when he saw my surprise face on his questions.

Michael was a very warm man … he always greeted me saying “Hello Madame !, how are you?” (with a proper manner) and immediately gave me a tight hug that always made me doubt about his german origin. He spoke little Spanish, but in his three years in Mexico, he had learned to use two key terms “green tea” and “jam.”

For me, I was fortunate to see him create, dream, think, write, speak, observe and get angry when he edited the titles of his posts. So many times I sat next to him wondering if I could ever understand his whole proposal … I still wonder. And that is because I feel his methodology is exactly the light missing in this complex era we have to live.

Michael spoke from the heart and proposed us that we always do so. That we be responsible for our contributions to the different social systems and that we never lose sight of sufficiency. What a challenge!

And as days pass by I have tried to accommodate my heart … I am still sad and has not spent a day without thinking about my dear friends.

MICHAEL BLUMENSTEIN, A MASTER TOUCHING HEARTS AND MIND

Katia gave me a beautiful plant that Michael planted and I write this post looking it between one paragraph and the next one. I really hope that my talent is enough to translate it into a contribution that helps spread his proposal. I think my dear Master left many seeds and I only hope to be ground fertile enough to bear good results.

Now I know that Michael once said that he had seen in me, a pair of eyes clean enough to do this work. And although this clean look is sometimes clouded with tears, I feel that there is no other option but to continue having a good life in honor of this wise and endearing man.

Thank you Michael, thank you with heart!
